Lab Coordinator: Prof. Filippo Attivissimo
Located on the -1 floor of the “Luigi Salvatore” building, OpenMultiLab laboratory was funded by Puglia Region through the European Social Fund* to enhance the academic counseling services for Apulian universities. It is available for students of the Engineering, Architecture and Industrial Design bachelor’s and master’s programs at Polytechnic University of Bari and has been managed for years by the Electrical and Electronic Measurements Research Group. OpenMultiLab aims to develop students’ skills, enabling them to tackle technological challenges, encouraging interdisciplinary dialogue promoting collaboration among students from various degree programs, to strengthen their teamwork abilities.
In OpenMultiLAB, students can continuously assess their knowledge, enhancing their skills through in-depth study in relevant sectors. The three labs are equipped with professional software, advanced instruments, industrial sensors, prototyping systems, technological demonstrators, consumer hardware. Theay are always supervised by the expertise of teachers, researchers, and technicians.
The goal is to reduce the number of students who fall behind and lower dropout rates in higher education. By bridging the gap between theory and practical application, students become more competitive in the job market, improving their technological, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
